T20 World Cup 2022: Drizzle stops in Adelaide, but kind weather expected for IND vs BAN on Wednesday
With little around 24 hours to for the high-profile clash between India and Bangladesh in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup 2022, the weather looks to be a major factor. As things stand, it was raining on Tuesday afternoon in Adelaide with India’s warm-up session delayed till 4:00 PM local time. India are set to meet Bangladesh in an all-Asian affair on Wednesday as both teams look to gather vital points.
India TV’s Samip Rajguru reported on Tuesday morning that Adelaide is experiencing frequent drizzles. While there was no rain on Tuesday early morning, the weather conditions quickly changed with rain pouring down in recent hours. While there is a good chance of rain on Wednesday, it is expected that the weather could once again change its course, as the fans will have to be optimistic for the match to go forward.
Team India arrived in Adelaide on Monday and are scheduled for an optional warm-up session that was delayed due to rain. But the latest updates have revealed that the team will now take a training session with players getting ready for the Bangladesh clash. The Indian team will be looking to bounce back from their defeat in the last match against South Africa.
The Indian team has good memories from their only T20I visit to the Adelaide Oval, as they won against Australia on 26th January 2016. Virat Kohli was the star attraction in the match as he scored an unbeaten 90 in that contest.
If the weather forecasts and reports are to be believed, Adelaide has a 90% rain probability. We have already been witness to rain-hit games and the effect it had on the teams in this edition of the T20 World Cup.
